In the past, I've found that healthy eating, lots of water, and intense workouts have a very positive affect on my skin resulting in a vibrant, glowing face. However, during the times when I have neglected one or more of the 3 above activities (or partaking in too much alchohol), my skin become dull and develops uneven skin tone. I recently found an elixir - olive oil.
Seems counterintuitive doesn't it? Unlike manufactured products like petrolatum and mineral oil, natural oils including olive oil, do not leave skin oily or greasy. One of the components contained in olive oil, squalene, is a potent mosturizer which is quickly absorbed into the skin. Additionally, olive oil is anti-inflammatory and has anti-oxidant properties. In fact, cleansing with these natural oils or OCM (oil cleansing method) will not strip your skin of its natural oils.
Let's start the journey to amazing, healthy skin. Mix half olive oil with half extra-cleansing castor oil. Massage the mixture into your face and then allow it to sit for a couple of minutes...
