Did the MSM try to "justify" the actions of McNair's mistress?

I am always the first one to lay the bulk of the fault SOLELY at the feet of the married person when it comes to assigning blame during an affair. Ummm, because he/she is the person who made the vow to God and their spouse. Period. So yeah, Steve McNair was to blame for having an affair, the girl, to a much lesser extent.
Now as far as the murders, that blame lays solely at the feet of Sahel Kazemi.
Is it just me or did or it seem like the media's underlying theme was "this famous brutish black man manipulated this young NON-BLACK woman and showered her with gifts/trips and caused her to kill them both"?
Some could use the excuse that they were waiting for the entire story to come out, however, early on, it was kinda clear what happened. Now we know for sure: McNair and Kazemi had been dating for 5 months and McNair recently started pulling away from the relationship by standing up Kazemi after failing to show up for a Vegas trip. Kazemi complained to friends that she felt her life was over and bought a gun. She shot him four times while he slept, then committed suicide.
Many reports on this incident excluded any substantial reference or information about McNair's wife, Mechelle. It seems as if there was no need to rush to support or come to the aid of Mechelle as a widow and a mother to 4 fatherless children, but it was an absolute necessity to "rescue" Kazemi's image from any negative portrayal. In fact, there were repeated mentions about the her relationship with McNair, the house and condo McNair purchased with her, and the fact that the McNairs had their house on the market. All seeming to push the theme that McNair had did everything in the world to convince Kazemi that he was leaving his wife for her. What was left out however was that McNair and his wife were looking to purchase another home and that McNair seems to have started dating ANOTHER woman outside of his marriage. Not saying that Kazemi should be completely vilified, again, McNair is damn near completely responsible for the affair. Kazemi, on the other hand, DECIDED to murder McNair and take her own life.
I'm sure the meme would be different, let's say for instance if the football player, his wife, and his kids were white. While the story would still be huge, if the story involved John Elway (God forbid) and his wife, I can guarantee there would be an immense outpouring of love and concern for Mrs. Elway and her kids, and probably less "justifying" of the non-white "other" woman who took the life of sports legend before ending her own.
Then again, maybe it's just me.
